Mercedes Spezial Roadster

This DMC Mercedes-Benz 540K Spezial Roadster is based on the Pocher Mercedes kit.  The body has been shortened, the radiator has been moved to the rear, and a set of scratch-built metal hoods have been fabricated. The body features over 42 separate chromed metal trim strips. The interior features scratch-built elements covered in genuine leather and accented by lighted instruments mounted in a genuine mother-of-pearl panel. The model features a prototype set of wide-whitewalls molded by Brian Yingling of Texas.  This is the last of five DMC Spezial Roadsters to have been built, and it is a replica of the 540K on display at the Blackhawk Collection in Danville, California.
